  5. AmigaGuide versions are not fully backwards compatible. gconv was written
  6. by Ville-Pertti Keinonen for converting new AmigaGuide documents into a
  7. format that is more compatible with older AmigaGuide versions.

  9. Usage: gconv [-d ver] [-o file] [-s ver] [--help] [--ignore] file
  10.  
  11. Example: gconv V40.guide -o V33.guide
  12.  
  13. gconv looks for version indication remarks in the guide. For instance, if
  14. your guide is V40 compliant, you can add the following remark before the
  15. main node, so that gconv knows exactly what it's dealing with.

  19. Ville-Pertti Keinonen originally wrote this program on my request for a
  20. specific purpose. However, it has always been freeware. I'm now releasing
  21. it separately, so that others too can hopefully find some good use for it.
